The Centre for East Asian Studies is located in Building 4120 and is organised as follows:
Ground floor: Institute of Chinese Studies
First floor: East Asian Art History
Second floor: Institute of Japanese Studies
Third floor: Institute of Chinese Studies (+ Chinese Studies administrative office) and Korean Studies
Arriving by car from the motorway (Autobahn)
Leave A656 at the end of the motorway towards Heidelberg city centre (Heidelberg-Zentrum). Head towards the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and follow the signs for the city centre. Drive past the central railway station into Kurfürstenanlage and follow it until you reach the Römerkreis roundabout. There, take the exit towards Adenauerplatz. At Adenauerplatz, turn right onto Sofienstraße and follow it. Voßstraße is located in this area, near Bergheimer Straße.
Parking is available at several nearby multi-storey car parks (e.g. car park P11 at the University Library or P12 at Kornmarkt/Schloss) and, to a limited extent, by the side of the road.
Arriving by car from the direction of Neckargemünd
Follow B37 along the Neckar river towards Heidelberg city centre (Heidelberg-Zentrum). Drive through the Schlossberg tunnel and follow the signs towards Zentrum/Bismarckplatz. At Bismarckplatz, continue towards the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof) via Sofienstraße. From there, you can reach Voßstraße via the adjacent side streets.
Parking is available in nearby multi-storey car parks or – subject to availability – by side of the road.
By public transport from the central railway station (Hauptbahnhof)
Take bus routes 32, 33, 34 or 720 towards Universitätsplatz (University Square) and get off at Bismarckplatz. From there, you can reach CATS campus on foot in approximately 5 minutes, either via Luisenstraße or Bergheimer Straße, turning right onto Hospitalstraße.
