Call for Applications
Application procedure and deadline:
Eligible for application are students who will finish their bachelor’s degree within the winter semester 2013/2014, as well as graduate students, who are able to participate during the full project duration of two years.
Students interested in participating in the project have to:
- Fill in the application form below
- Provide information regarding their study background, research focus, and future interests and delineate the direction of research they would like to pursue in the course of the project through a short exposé (max. 3 pages, font size 12). For details please refer to the application form.
- Please note: Topics can be connected to future master’s thesis
- Be able to show sufficient skills to communicate in English and Chinese (please add GRE / TOEFL / IELTS level 4-6 or comparable certificates)

Late applications will not be considered.

Selection Procedure:
Your application is reviewed by the Prof. Sarah E. Fraser (Institute of East Asian Art History, Heidelberg University), Prof. Cao Qinghui (Central Academy of Fine Arts, Beijing), and Prof. Huang Zongxian (Arts College, Sichuan University). The final decision on admissibility is made after short interviews with selected applicants by the Institute of East Asian Art History.

- Pre-selection results: March 2014
- Applicant interviews: end of March 2014
- Publication of results: end of March 2014
A formal decision on the pre-selection will be sent to you by the Institute of East Asian Art History by the end of March and followed by a short interview. The final selection will be announced during the last week of March.
