Review Praise for essay on German-Japanese history of philosophy

On March 13, 2026, the weekly review journal Shūkan Dokushojin—which has been published since 1948—featured a review of the volume “Neo-Kantian Philosophy and Modern Japan”, in which Professor Krämer also published two essays. In his review, the president of the Japanese Kant Society, Kido Atsushi, describes Krämer's contribution—which attempts to clarify why the “boring” Rickert was still being read even during the Taishō period—as “instructive.”
